the sling connection

In my daughter’s first six months, I actually saved housework for when she was awake.  She loved to feel the rhythm of my movement and to take in the changing sights.  I would hold my sweet babe close to my heart (or sometimes high on my back looking over my shoulder) while I simply went about my day, doing laundry, shopping, taking care of other business, and caring for my 3 year old!  My baby girl napped on my back while I changed my son’s clothes after a messy art project.   I nursed little Lydia in a sling while making a sandwich for David.  She looked over my shoulder while I searched all over the house for big brother’s left shoe so we could get ready to leave the house. . .   :)
